About Us
St. Paul’s School has a tradition of over 100 years of providing a sound academic program preparing students for the next level of education. Our small school size creates a family atmosphere centered in God’s concern and care for His children. Students are assured of individual attention and close monitoring of progress.
Our academic emphasis starts with the importance of basic skills in reading, math, and language arts. Pre-reading starts in pre-school and beginning reading and math skills begin in kindergarten. We use the Houghton-Mifflin reading series through 5th grade and Saxon Math through 8th grade. Grades 6-8 move into literature with more of an emphasis on comprehension and writing. We add additional support to reading with a phonics program through second grade.
We also use the Accelerated Reading program that challenges students to read beyond the curriculum.
Our basic curriculum includes: English (grammar, writing, listening), religion, reading/literature, science, social studies, physical education, math, music, art, and computers. All students are involved in choir and grades 7-8 have handbells and tone chimes. A computer lab is also available.
Our students have religion class daily, and we have a chapel service every Wednesday.
We offer band through Martin Luther High School; we have a student newspaper published by 7-8 graders; we offer the following athletic teams for grades 5-8: flag football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, track & field.
